Amelia had her two month check up today with Dr. B. Momma was pretty nervous because 1) her baby was getting shots and 2) it was our first duet at the doctor since birth… Needless to say, Amelia was FANTASTIC! She is progressing beautifully in the development arena. The doctor said she has successfully met the developmental milestones thus far and is doing wonderful. She weighed in at 11 lbs. 10 ounces – the 70th percentile! She is 22 inches long – 25th percentile (which if she takes after her mommy, I don’t expect more than this) She was given 3 shots and 1 oral vaccination…a whole lot for my little patot! Amelia screamed after the 1st shot and continued until momma picked her up and loved on her a little. Momma did get a smidge teary eyed…but held it together! Amelia Bedelia has two war bandages now and a new toy for being so well behaved for her appointment. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful and healthy baby. My heart goes out to the mommies that don’t have such pleasant visits and/or have to hear sad news about their babies’ lack of progress. We are very fortunate :).
